RAMOA Digital
E-commerce

A store the size of your operation.

For most stores, a good platform does the job, and we set up Shopify or Shopware the right way. When subscriptions and workarounds start to weigh, we build the store on its own system: checkout, stock and customers on your domain.

Platform or own system

The answer depends on the numbers.

Starting on a platform is usually the most sensible step. As you grow, the subscriptions add up: platform, apps, shipping, accounting, commissions. When that cost and the limits start to weigh more than a one-off investment, your own system makes sense.

  • 01Store platform (Shopify, Shopware Cloud…)€40–400/mo
  • 02Coupon and cart recovery apps€20–80/mo
  • 03Shipping and labels€25–90/mo
  • 04Payment provider≈ 1.5–3% per sale
  • 05Accounting and integration (lexoffice, sevDesk, DATEV)€30–120/mo
  • 06Legal texts, reviews, pop-ups, SEO…€30–100/mo
When the math flips

In stores with good volume, subscriptions can add up to hundreds of euros a month, plus a commission on sales. With your own system, much of that becomes a one-off investment: what remains is hosting and the payment provider's fee. We run that math with your numbers in the diagnosis.

When to start on a platform.

If moving on ever makes sense, we migrate with the same care.

What every store owner asks before getting started.

01Platform or own system: what's the difference?

On a platform you pay a monthly fee, apps and, in some cases, a commission. With your own system the investment is one-off and the store grows without new platform fees. The diagnosis shows which makes sense now.

02I'm already on a platform. Do I need to migrate everything?

Not necessarily. We often start by integrating what's missing and migrate in stages, when it makes sense.

03Will I lose my Google rankings?

No. We keep the URL structure, set up 301 redirects, and monitor your rankings in the weeks after launch.

04Will the store be ready for German law?

Yes: Impressum, privacy policy, AGB, Widerrufsbelehrung, prices including VAT, and the checkout button in the format the law requires. The legal texts themselves come from your lawyer or a specialized service, and we fit everything into the store.

05Where is my customers' data stored?

In your own database, hosted where the operation requires. The data is yours.

06How long until the store is live?

4 to 8 weeks, depending on catalog size and integrations.

07Can I switch providers later?

Yes. The code, hosting, and database are yours, with no contract locking you in.
